I’m a wanderer. Plain and simple. I take the long way, and take a long time doing it. I bought a van long before the word van was part of a trendy hashtag, and that’s how I get around. That, and by horse (as much as I can). With roots in Oregon and seasonal work on the road as an equestrian photographer, it’s no question I have a special place in my heart for the West. It will always be my gravity, and that gravity cannot be separated from my pull to the Wild. It’s where I thrive. It’s where I connect. If there are coyotes howling, it’s a safe bet i’ll be howling right along with them. I’ve been deeply connected to nature and wildlife as long as I can remember. So much so that tattooed between my shoulder blades you’ll find this quote, resting just outside the back door of my heart.

She whispers quietly in my ear
and in my mind and in my heart.
She has a strong will and holds me close.

She is the Wild.
